Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the HR Officer and broader HR team

Assist with recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews and reference checks

Maintain employee records both digitally and physically in compliance with POPIA

Track and manage employee leave, attendance, and timekeeping systems

Support onboarding and induction of new employees

Assist with compiling HR reports, data capturing, and statistical analysis

Manage confidential documentation such as contracts, warnings, and performance records

Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate employee information and updates

Assist with staff wellness initiatives, training coordination, and internal communications

Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies at all times

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate (HR or Business Administration qualification preferred)

1–3 years experience in an HR administrative or assistant role

Knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices

Strong computer literacy, especially with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Experience working with HR systems or payroll platforms is an advantage

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High level of discretion and confidentiality

Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
