🛠️ Role Overview

SANParks seeks a strategic Supply Chain Management Specialist to lead procurement planning, contract lifecycle management, bidding processes, inventory control, and legislative compliance. This position supports the Finance & SCM unit in safeguarding procurement integrity and operational effectiveness.  

🧩 Requirements & Duties

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in SCM, Logistics, Public Administration, Finance, or equivalent

4–6 years SCM/procurement experience (in regulated settings)

In-depth knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations, and B-BBEE frameworks

Proficiency in MS Office; understanding of SANParks systems and bid committee functions  

Core Responsibilities:

Drive demand planning and procurement aligned with strategic and annual budgets

Oversee bid committee operations and ensure compliance during tenders

Manage supplier performance, logistics, warehouse systems, and inventory

Generate SCM risk assessments, audit documentation, and monthly/quarterly reports

Identify cost-saving opportunities and address irregular or wasteful expenditure
