Police Trainee

💰 Stipend / Salary:

Phase 1: Training

Stipend: R4,500 per month during the 12-month academic and physical training phase

Phase 2: Probationary Constable

Salary: Approx. R222,000 per annum (R18,500 per month) upon successful completion of training

✅ Minimum Requirements:

To apply, you must:

Be a South African citizen

Be between 18 and 30 years old

Have Grade 12 (Matric) certificate

Be physically and mentally fit

No criminal record or pending cases

Be willing to undergo a fitness, integrity, and psychometric assessment

Be fluent in English and one other official language

Be prepared to undergo extensive training and serve anywhere in South Africa

Not have any visible tattoos when in uniform

📚 Programme Details:

📖 Phase 1: Training (12 months)

Location: SAPS Academies (National)

Includes:

Legal studies

Tactical policing

Firearm training

Crime prevention and investigation modules

Physical training and discipline

🎖️ Phase 2: Probation (12 months)

Workplace exposure and supervised policing

Permanent appointment as a Constable upon successful completion

Attach a certified copy of your:

ID document

Grade 12 certificate

Proof of residence

CV (if required)

Submit to your nearest SAPS recruitment office or as per instructions on the application form.
